If your main question is whether Sandustry is already playable, the answer is yes. The game launched into Early Access on August 13, 2026, and the official Steam page also lists a demo as available.
For players, Early Access means Sandustry is already playable, but individual balances and common player practices can still shift quickly. Treat specific numbers and layouts as current guidance, not permanent rules.
A practical workflow is simple: use the official store page for release status, the official wiki for terminology, and community discussion for new player friction.
A short page like this is clearest when it stays date-first and does not bury the answer under theory.
Community discussion before release focused on whether Sandustry would open in Early Access, what platforms would be supported, and whether players could try it before buying.
Sandustry opened on Steam Early Access and became immediately playable on this date.
The useful follow-up is no longer "when does it come out" but "where do I start" and "how stable are the current systems and routes."
