Redsand quick facts
- Official name: Redsand
- Common search spelling: Red Sand
- Comes from Redsoil
- Combines with Void Petals to make Voidbloom
Quick answer: Redsand comes from Redsoil. To create Voidbloom, Redsand and Void Petals must meet vertically; simply pushing them together from the side with Conveyor Belts will not combine them. Voidbloom then feeds the Flux Emanator to produce Fluxite.
Redsand comes from Redsoil. That is the official source material. Players also search for it as Red Sand, but the game wiki names the material Redsand, so this guide keeps the official name and uses the spaced version only as a search-friendly alias.
To farm Redsand, look for large Redsoil pockets underground and mine them in bulk. Redsoil yields Redsand when broken, and official sources describe those pockets as common around middle to lower depths.
Treat farming here as efficient collection rather than automatic regeneration. Current verified sources do not establish an infinite or renewable Redsand farm, so the practical route is to find a large Redsoil pocket, clear it with stronger digging tools when available, and move the Redsand into the Voidbloom chain.
Redsand is not a dead-end material. Its main job is to combine with Void Petals and create Voidbloom. Voidbloom then goes into the Flux Emanator, which produces Fluxite.
Redsand and Void Petals must combine vertically. Void Petals can fall onto Redsand, or Redsand can fall onto Void Petals, but simple side contact is not enough. If you only run the two materials toward each other on adjacent Conveyor Belts, they will not merge.
The current official Voidbloom page lists the recipe as 1 Void Petal + 1 Redsand -> 2 Voidbloom. Because Sandustry is still in Early Access, treat that ratio as the current official value rather than a permanent guarantee.
After you have Voidbloom, drop it onto the top of the Flux Emanator. That is the documented machine step that turns the chain into Fluxite. The official current value is 1 Voidbloom -> 1 Fluxite, which should also be treated as an Early Access value that may change.
Most failed setups come down to contact direction. Check whether the two materials are only sitting side by side. Then check whether one material is actually falling onto the other or being fed from above or below. If the setup relies on belts pushing from the side, rebuild that point so the two inputs meet vertically.
Mine Redsoil to get Redsand.
Yes. Redsand is the official in-game name, while Red Sand is a common search spelling players use.
It combines with Void Petals to make Voidbloom, which then feeds the Fluxite production chain.
Bring Redsand and Void Petals into vertical contact so one falls onto the other.
They are probably only touching from the side. The official rule is vertical contact, not belt-to-belt side pressure.
