Auralite quick facts
- Auralite is a solid material
- Aurixite is processed into Auralite by a Shaker
- Aura Extractor forms Auralite Crystals
- The Extractor's nanobots convert those crystals into Aura
Quick answer: Process Aurixite with a Shaker to produce Auralite. Feed that Auralite into the Aura Extractor, which forms an Auralite Crystal. The Extractor's nanobots then break the crystal down into Aura.
v0.5.6 update: once crystallization has started, the Aura Extractor can now be removed. Stored crystals are buffered and released as Auralite when you build the Extractor again.
Auralite comes from Aurixite. The verified chain is simple: Aurixite goes into a Shaker, and the Shaker produces Auralite. Auralite is the solid input that moves on to the Aura Extractor.
This guide stays with the verified middle of the chain. For the upstream branch that leads into Aurixite, use Florinol and Progression Guide instead of treating Auralite as an isolated material.
Auralite and Auralite Crystal are not the same thing. Auralite is the raw solid material you feed into the Aura Extractor. Inside that machine, the Auralite is pulled in and condensed into an Auralite Crystal.
Once the crystal forms, it stops being a normal hauled material. Official documentation says player tools do not break Auralite Crystals, and the Extractor's nanobots are the documented way to process them.
The Aura Extractor attracts nearby Auralite and forms an Auralite Crystal from it. After the crystal appears, select the Extractor and move the nanobot swarm target onto the crystal so the swarm starts breaking it down. That breakdown step is what yields Aura.
If you only watch the first half of the process, it can look like the machine stopped after making a crystal. It has not finished yet; the crystal still needs the nanobot step before Aura appears.
Start by checking whether formed crystals are waiting inside or beside the machine. If crystals are present, the Extractor still needs its nanobots directed onto them. Official instructions also note that you must select the Extractor to guide the swarm.
If you are trying to reposition the machine after crystallization starts, v0.5.6 changed that rule. You can remove the Aura Extractor, and the stored crystals are held in a buffer until the Extractor is built again and releases them as Auralite.
Process Aurixite with a Shaker, then move the Auralite into the Aura Extractor.
Auralite is the solid input material. Auralite Crystal is the condensed form created by the Aura Extractor before it is broken down into Aura.
Use the Aura Extractor's nanobots. Official sources do not describe normal player tools as a valid way to break the crystal.
Yes. v0.5.6 allows removal after crystallization starts, and the stored crystals are buffered until the Aura Extractor is rebuilt.
Auralite becomes Auralite Crystal inside the Extractor, and that crystal is then processed into Aura.
